Erratic presents Dimi Angelis

A night of cerebral Techno from a Dutch legend

On Saturday, January 18th, we are proud to present our first show of 2014, this time hosting a very special and unique guest, and one of the most underrated and long-standing techno stalwarts the Netherlands has to offer, DIMI ANGELIS. This will be his – US Debut – and only gig while in the country, taking place at Cameo Gallery, located in the heart of Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Cover is $10 all night with RSVP.

Hailing from Amsterdam, Dimi holds a long and rich history with underground techno – from hosting and promoting raves and warehouse parties since the 90s; to forming one of the most recognized and respected live techno acts, Counterpart, alongside close friend Jeroen Search; to most recently, in 2012 and in partnership with Jeroen as well, establishing the acclaimed A&S label, responsible for 6 outstanding pieces of techno music to date.

Dimi’s style is unique and championing, narrating with each record a story of the past and the future. His selections are ever cultured and his repertoire never-ending. We had the pleasure of hosting him in our podcast series, where he delivered 80 minutes of uncompromised, vinyl-only techno history. On this night, expect this and much more, as he will be performing a special and extended set for all us. The Erratic residents, Dos Lokos, will open up the night, later passing the reigns on to the Dutch master.
