Sounds of Repitch

Ascion's North American debut

On Saturday, April 14, Erratic presents its 8th installment showcasing top-notch talent in NYC, this time welcoming the young Italian, dark techno prodigy, ASCION, for his North American debut.

Originally from Naples, Italy, and now based in the modern techno Mecca, Berlin, Pasquale Ascione was immersed with music and technology since his very early teens. Now at barely 24 years of age, Pasquale has managed to cement his name and gain respect within the techno circles, and his sound can most simply be described as hard, industrial, forward-thinking techno. In 2011, along with his university friend and colleague, D. Carbone, Pasquale launched Repitch Recordings, boasting a killer first release including a remix from Mike Parker himself, whose sound essentially epitomizes Pasquale’s concept for the label. ASCION has also released on Drumcode, Sleaze, and SCI+TEC dating back to 2008, but is now focusing on Repitch where he “can expose himself 100%.”

So, on this night, he is taking us on a journey during his extended set which, on his own words “can be with a deep vein, or also more industrial at times, and also when I can, I like to experiment bringing on an all-futuristic concept.”

As usual, opening duties will be provided by the Erratic residents, Dos Lokos (Jason T. & LoKKoTRONN), delivering the proper warm-up darkness to be followed by ASCION’s pounding wrath.

Prepare and brace yourselves!
